Having sustainable, on-demand energy sources for stationary and mobile
applications is a grand research challenge of the 21st
catalysts are needed that efficiently and selectively react with small
molecules for chemical energy conversion, especially in atom-economical
processes that circumvent or utilize atmospheric CO2
To address these challenges, members of my group will employ principles of
synthetic inorganic and organometallic chemistry towards small molecule
activation, chemical energy conversion, and (electro)catalysis.
